I absolutely agree to this statement! Instead of sulking my a** here over many things, I'd rather use that negativity to develop myself. I want to be better. I don't want to be proving anybody wrong, but I want to prove myself that I can be better. Self-Assessment is good for you when the things tough up.
What better way to do that than challenge yourself? Here's my 'bucket list' of challenges set out for myself to accomplish this year:
- Learn English structure, punctuation and everything about the subject. NOT because I don't know, but there are things that I DO NOT know! If I can do this and become better...
- ...I can get back to accepting writing jobs again. It's a job that I really liked, but right now I feel inferior to do because I feel intimidated about my writing capacity. I still think that I am not good enough.
- Practice Alphanumeric typing to increase my speed and accuracy. Better speed and accuracy skill equals better job opportunity too! I am pretty sure it opens a lot of doors and options. - I am actually in a job that can help me in this goal, and I AM GETTING PAID TO DO IT! Isn't that great?
- Practice loud reading in English because I feel REALLY intimidated everytime I speak to someone. This is a first that I stutter when I can speak the language fluently before. This may have rooted from my feeling of inadequacy in all levels.
- Improve my driving skills. - Everyday is a lesson.
- Get my driver's license by November. - I got it in December, but hey, I PASSED! Yay!
- Take the Office Statewide Exam and pass it. - DONE!
- Review GED lessons to refresh my memory. - No need.
- Continue doing the low carb diet and exercise at least 30 mins everyday!
- Lose 10 pounds by the end of November.
- Have a job before December ends. - DONE!
In order to grow as a person, as an individual, you must continually challenge yourself to become better. To become better, you must change the habits that holds you back and gets you stuck in the first place. I have to try really hard to free myself from whatever it is that binds me from this mess. For that, change that habit, I will surely change the future ahead of me.
